One of Mexico City’s unique and fun dinner events will take place next Saturday with the Moonlit Picnics in Chapultepec and Aragón Forests.

Living in a city as big as the Mexican capital makes it very difficult for people to get out of the rut. When you leave work at 7:00 p.m. and begin an hour commute home, it’s difficult to enjoy the city during the week.

The Ministry of the Environment in Mexico City gives you a perfect opportunity to have an exquisite CDMX experience. If you work near Chapultepec or the Forest of San Juan Aragón, all you have to do is get to the forest.

During the event, which happens on the second Saturday of each month from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., attendees can share with their family, friends or partner a dinner by moonlight in the forest.

The picnic is completely free and aims to promote the recovery of public spaces, as well as to invite people to interact in cultural and recreational activities, according to the Ministry of the Environment in Mexico City.

The public can enter with their own dishes or buy a food basket for two people that includes tablecloth, bottle of red wine (375 ml), plastic cups, led candles, chapatas, apples and chocolates.

People who attend this event are recommended to arrive early to pick a good place, carry paper bags to place the garbage and avoid coming with pets, as they will not be allowed entry.
