More than 200 exhibitors from 25 indigenous groups in Mexico will participate in the Fifth Expo of Indigenous Peoples, to be held from May 4 – 7 in Mexico City, in order to boost the economy of the communities.
The event will be held at Expo Reforma and bring together a wide variety of handicrafts, services, traditional medicine, nature tourism centers, culture, music and gastronomy.
The fifth edition will be presented as the most important forum of its kind, since products produced by indigenous hands can be purchased and come directly from their communities, without intermediaries and with an exceptional quality to national and foreign visitors.
The Mexican gastronomy is valued worldwide, so on this occasion there will be a pavilion to enjoy the traditional flavors and aromas of indigenous cuisine.
There will also be traditional doctors, who will share their ancestral knowledge about health care from the cosmovision of the indigenous tradition.
For lovers of ecotourism, nature and adventure, in this edition there will be exhibitors of the Indigenous Paradises to offer promotions with accommodation and tourism activities in different destinations.
The CDI promotes the economic development of communities by strengthening the production and productivity of indigenous communities themselves.
It is important to remember that more than 200 thousand attendees have met during the four previous editions and this time will focus on the celebration of Mother’s Day.
