Rain in 13 delegations, wind, downed trees in CDMX
City officials reported light rain in 13 of the 16 delegations, as well as strong winds that caused several trees to fall in different parts of Mexico City.
The precipitation was registered in the Azcapotzalco, Álvaro Obregón, Iztaclco, Cuahutémoc, Cuajimalpa, Gustavo A. Madero, Iztapalapa, Miguel Hidalgo, Milpa Alta, Xochimilco, Tláhuac, Tlalpan and Venustiano Carranza delegations.
The City of Mexico Command, Control, Computing and Communications Center, through its Twitter account, @ciudad_segura, reported the two downed trees in the Venustiano Carranza delegation.
One in Nicolás León and Fray Servando, in the colony Balbuena, at the corner of the streets Oriente 176 and North 29, Colony Moctezuma Second Section, where elements of the fire department arrived.
As well, in the colony Bosques de Chapultepec, in the delegation Miguel Hidalgo, the firefighters attended to another downed tree in Rubén Darío and Hegel.
Likewise, in Cuauhtémoc, they attended to calls for downed trees, in the colony Maza, in the streets of Atotonilco and Tin, and Callejón de Flamencos and November 20, in the Historic Center.
Meanwhile, in Gustavo A. Madero, firefighters removed a luminaire in the streets General Martin Carrera and General Miguel Barragán, of the Martín Carrera colony, and a branch in Miguel Bernard and Othón de Mendizábal Oriente, of the colony La Escalera.
In Alvaro Obregón the fire department attended to a downed tree in the streets Desierto de los Leontes and Privada de los Cedros, of the Alcantarilla colony.
In Coyoacán, they firefighters attended to downed trees at Cahitas and Mayapan Walker, of the colony CTM Culhuacán Section 5; And Miramontes norte and Ramon Arriaga Aceves.
Also they worked with a downed tree in Axis Central and Cove, in the colony Narvarte Oriente, delegation Benito Juárez.
The Command Center reminded citizens to call 911 in the event of any rain emergency in Mexico City.
In the rainy season, he also urged motorists to check the condition of their car’s tires, brakes, lights and windshields.
